About Us
The King Eddy restaurant originally opened on December 15th, 2014 at 45 Clarence St. In 2022, the King Eddy moved next door into a newly renovated space at 47 Clarence St. Located in Ottawa's historical Byward Market, the 'Eddy' is home to Ottawa's best burger and offers up a wide variety of classic 'diner' type fare that is made fresh in house everyday with quality ingredients.
We are open 7 days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. We do not take reservations. For large group & special event inquiries, please send us an email at info@kegroup.ca or give us a call at 613-680-1700 - we will do our best to accommodate your requests!
Our entire menu is take out friendly - simply give us a call, drop in, or pull up the take out window and we'll be happy to send you on your way with a bag full of tasty treats!
The name 'King Eddy' comes from a popular hang out spot for Gary Thompson during his late teenage years growing up in Guelph, Ontario. The food & atmosphere at The Eddy represents some fond memories for the Thompson family; from the classic burger to the buckets of fried chicken, and the White Russian (The Dude) Spiked Shake, they all have a story behind them.
Our goal is to achieve a lasting impression of value, quality, and authenticity. Our purpose is clear: make people happy; and for that our mandate is simple: “We Love All!”
Our family has a long history in the Ottawa food & beverage industry. Beginning with the Empire Grill in 1998, we understand great hospitality. We are very proud to be family owned and operated, and it brings us great joy in welcoming you to the Eddy!
Thank you,
- The KE family.
